Reinforce was started in 1981. We are the longest running self-advocacy group in Victoria!
We were a founding member of People First Australia and have led campaigns that SPEAK UP for the rights of people with an intellectual disability. Reinforce was at the front of the campaign to close institutions and provide people with intellectual disability real homes.
In 1982, Reinforce members were activists in the Drummond St squat! Have a look at the photo below.
